Day 15: Washington, DC

Another dreary day in DC, but that wasn't going to stop me. For something a little different today, I participated in a full day Monuments and Memorials photography workshop. Our tour/workshop took in some familiar (Lincoln, Korea, and Vietnam Three Servicemen Memorials; Union Station; Washington National Cathedral; and the 76-foot tall Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial in Arlington) and not so familiar tourist sites (the Albert Einstein memorial and the Adams Morgan entertainment/restaurant district).

Albert Einstein Memorial in the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences
Three Soldiers statue - Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Korean War Veterans Memorial
Adams Morgan area
Cathedral Church of Saint Peter & Saint Paul(aka the Washington National Cathedral)
Marine Corps War Memorial (also known at the Iwo Jima Memorial)
I had a lovely dinner at Matchbox (713 H Street, NW Washington) before having a fairly early night.
