Our Amtrak train took just over 3½ hours to get to Penn Station.

After we got settled we headed up to Times Square to take in all the sights and sounds before we met up Amy, Teresa, Jeannie, Cora, Beth & Mara (yep more Joshy/Twitter peeps) for dinner at Trattoria Dopo Teatro on West 44th Street (between 6th & Broadway).
After dinner we headed over to the Broadhurst Theatre where we had the absolute pleasure of seeing the show "Hugh Jackman - Back on Broadway".
I was so lucky that this trip coincided with this show as it was only on for a very limited 10 week run. The plan to attend had been hatched over Twitter months ago, and a big thanks to Amy for organizing our tickets. The crowd outside after the show was intense and we couldn't get close to seeing Hugh, so we ended up crossing the street to get a better vantage point. Jeannie got talking to one of the Theatre employees who told her that if she really wanted a picture and/or autograph, then the best time was to try and get to the stage door about 2 hours before the curtains up.
After we waved farewell to Hugh, we headed up to the Broadway Lounge which is located on the 8th floor of the Marriot Marquis Times Square. Once here we it was cocktail time and we also met up with more Joshy/Twitter peeps including Wendy, Tanya, Bente & Shauna. It was sometime after 1am when J & I hit the streets of New York and walked back to our hotel.
