Our day in Berlin started off with a sightseeing tour which hit some of the major sights in Berlin including Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall (a part that's left of it), the marker that shows where the Berlin Wall once stood, the Holocaust Memorial, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, (seat of the German Parliament and even the hotel where during a visit in November 2002, Michael Jackson infamously dangled his son Blanket out one of the hotel's windows.
After the morning tour mum & I joined the optional excursion to Potsdam where we visited Cecilienhof Palace where Truman, Attlee and Stalin signed the Potsdam agreement in 1945; before we headed to Sanssouci Palace, built by Frederich the Great. We also saw the Glienicke bridge (Glienicker Brücke) which was used three times by the United States and Soviet Union to exchange captured spies during the Cold War, which led to the bridge being referred to as the Bridge of Spies by reporters.
