Family Christmas...

After a little bit of debate as to where we'd celebrate Christmas, we stayed with our normal routine and made the hike up the range to Toowoomba. Mick was back from Townsville, so it was a full-on family Christmas.

We went and saw the Christmas Lights on Christmas eve. Ben had lots of fun running around and was particularly impressed with Frosty The Snowman...
Instead of being woken up early be Ben on Christmas Day, we were all waiting for him to wake up, but when he did, he had lots of fun opening all his presents.
Now what would Chrismas day be without the traditional Christmas lunch - but this year don't mention the chickens (or the the lack of them). Of course, we had our traditional games afternoon - this year it was the "Here and Now" version of Monopoly (complete with Credit Cards).
Christmas night we then headed up to the Reinke's for our annual catchup. Ben was really enjoying himself with the other kids. Even Santa made a "surprise" appearance with Ben leading the singing of Jingle Bells. He even had a go at the Pinjata, and enjoyed the treats when it was eventually opened.
And what would Christmas be, without hitting the shops for the post Christmas sales. Even though Toowoomba was behind the times and the shops didn't open on Boxing Day, we made up for it the next day...
