Lions V Collingwood...

Round 10 of the 2006 AFL season saw Lana, Pat, Jodie, Stevie B and I head off to Melbourne for the clash between the Lions & Collingwood at the MCG. It was the last getaway for us all before the birth of Lana & Pat's baby.

I caught up with Michelle & Mel for lunch on Friday at Vialetto Ristorante on Hardware Lane in the Melbourne CBD. It was yummy and we actually went back there for dinner before the game on Saturday night. The 'Spaghetti with Meatballs' was my favourite.

After dinner we dropped Lana off at the hotel and then made our way to the MCG. It was good to see the "G" following the redevelopment they did in preparation for the C'wealth Games.

The result wasn't the best (ie. we didn't win) and it was also the game that ended Blake Caracella's career after a sickening clash with Tim Notting.

The final score was:
Collingwood 16.13 (109) Bris Lions 12.11 (83)

On Sunday Stevie B and I checked out the AFL Sensation & Hall Of Fame. The real reason we decided to go was that the Lions were holding a meet & greet. We got to see all of our favourites! Afterwards we met up with Jodie and hit the shops and then spent the afternoon at Young & Jacksons.
